Dwight Ritter inducted as an Advocate to the American Board of Trial Advocates
On October 27, 2011, at the San Diego Yacht Club, Dwight Ritter was inducted as an “Advocate” to the American Board of Trial Advocates by the organization’s San Diego chapter (link). Induction as an “Advocate” is the highest level of national board certification for new members of this illustrious organization. National board certification suggests advanced trial experience and legal competency by this well recognized national trial group.
The American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) is a nationwide organization that has chapters in all 50 states. Founded in 1958, ABOTA has had as its core purpose for more than 50 years the preservation of trial by jury for civil cases. This important civil right has been under attack for decades, and therefore ABOTA seeks to enlist only the best professional advocates in the cause of preserving this right. Membership in ABOTA is by invitation only, and in order to qualify, an attorney must be well-known for having an honorable reputation as well as a significant record of trial success.
